A Guide for Pet Owners by Rustic Ridge RV Park

Siloam Springs, Arkansas, located in a quiet corner of the Ozark Mountains, is not just a haven for outdoor enthusiasts but also a welcoming destination for furry companions, especially if you’re staying with us at Rustic Ridge, our pet-friendly retreat with RV sites and cabins.

If you're planning a trip to our RV park in Arkansas with your four-legged friend, you'll find a range of pet-friendly activities and amenities both on property and in the nearby town of Siloam to make your stay enjoyable. From dog-friendly parks to restaurant options that cater to pets, this historical, mid-sized town has plenty of places that cater to pet owners. Here's a guide from Rustic Ridge to help you navigate the pet-friendly side of Siloam Springs so that you and your pet can enjoy your getaway to this beautiful area of Northwest Arkansas.

Pet-friendly RV Park in Arkansas

When it comes to finding a comfortable place to stay with your pet, Rustic Ridge in Gentry, Arkansas stands out as a pet-friendly destination, offering two cabins and 27 RV sites where pets are welcomed. The retreat provides a bark park where dogs can roam off-leash, and the hiking trails at City Lake Park just down the road are perfect for taking your leashed dog on a long walk through the woods.

Even better is that the accommodations at Rustic Ridge allow for more than one pet. Two pets are free with each RV site, and you can pay an extra daily fee if you have three or even four dogs. The “twin” cabins, named the White River Cabin and Black River Cabin, allow up to two pets with a flat fee and even come with a designated kennel room for your furry companions. Just be sure to review our Pet Guidelines, and let us know if you'll be bringing your pets along to ensure that your vacation with your fur babies is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

Outdoor Adventures

Hiking and Walking Trails

Explore the natural beauty of Siloam Springs with your leashed pet by visiting dog-friendly walking and hiking trails, such as City Lake mentioned above. John Brown University offers the Dogwood Springs walking trail where leashed dogs are welcome. Some other favorites are the Lake Frances hiking trail in town, the Natural Falls State Park just 20 minutes away in Oklahoma, and Lake Wedington, 20 minutes away near Fayetteville, all on which leashed dogs are free to join you on your hike.

Dog Parks

If your dog needs a larger off-leash spot than the bark park that Rustic Ridge offers, the Tails and Trails Dog Park is a favorite spot for local pet owners. This spacious park features separate areas for large and small dogs, allowing for safe and enjoyable playtime. The park is equipped with water stations, waste disposal stations, and shaded areas for pet owners to relax while their dogs play.

Historical Sites

Siloam Springs is rich in history, and pet owners can explore outdoor historical sites while enjoying the town's charm. The Downtown Historic District features beautifully preserved buildings dating back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries, offering a glimpse into Siloam Springs' past. Check out the Then and Now photos of the buildings downtown for a guide, and click on each photo to read about the history of the building.

You and your pet might also enjoy strolling along the namesake springs, located within Siloam Springs City Park and Twin Springs Park downtown. The springs have been cherished for centuries for their purported healing properties and tranquil surroundings. Enjoy watching the ducks and fish with your pet, and make sure to learn about the springs' history by reading the informational plaques located along the springs.

Dining Out with Your Pet

After your walking tour of the historic buildings and sites, grab a local beer or wine at Creekside Taproom where dogs are welcome at outdoor tables. Fratelli's Wood-Fired Pizzeria also welcomes dogs at its outdoor seating, or order a pizza to be delivered to your table at the taproom. Another great downtown option that is both kid and dog-friendly is Ivory Bill Brewing, with great brews, cream sodas, and light snacks. Only a couple miles from downtown are Barnette’s Dairyette, a local favorite for 60 years, and Foghorn’s, which offers patties for dogs in the patio seating area.

Pet Supplies and Services

While in Siloam Springs, you'll find convenience in pet supply stores like Atwoods and Tractor Supply Co. where leashed dogs are welcome to roam the aisles with you. Both of these pet and farm supply stores have everything you might need, including food, treats, leashes, over the counter medicine (such as tick drops for hiking!), and more. If you need a groomer while in town, the Speckled Pup Center, The Pink Poodle, and Top Dog Grooming and Boarding are highly praised by locals. And if you do have plans in which your pets are not allowed and are worried about leaving them alone at Rustic Ridge, all of these groomers also offer boarding for the day.

Veterinary Care

Should you need any veterinary assistance during your stay, Siloam Springs has four reputable veterinary clinics and pet hospitals, all highly rated by locals, with Pro-Vet and All Creatures having the highest ratings on Google. All are within 10-15 minutes of Rustic Ridge, allowing you to enjoy your time with your pet in Siloam Springs worry-free.
